Windows ME updates
I recently gave my old computer to a friend. I rebuilt the hard drive and
successfully loaded the ME operating system, etc. such that the computer seems to be working fine. However, the computer now has only the ME version that originally came with the computer and lacks all of the subsequent ME updates. Is there some way that I can find, download and install all of the ME updates? Thanks. |

Windows ME updates
All of the updates you require (and all that are available) can be obtained
from the Windows Update site. You must use the Win Me PC to download as the site (and the associated catalog site) can only be accessed by a PC running Win Me. A shortcut to the site http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (which redirects to http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp) will have been placed on the Start Menu when you installed Win Me. -- Mike Maltby micmoo wrote: I recently gave my old computer to a friend. Thanks. you can perhaps allso have use of the unofficial Windows ME Service Pack 1 that includes WindowsME-updates made after microsoft stopped making them http://www.mdgx.com/web.htm#ME1 |
