Slow Windows Explorer
I have just installed an app on a friend's Win98 laptop.
Whilst apps seem to run normally on the machine, the Windows Explorer is incredibly slow, taking up to a minute to become active again after changing a desktop icon name, or lining up the icons or similar minor actions. Does anyone know the reason for this? And can anything be done about it ? There are 54 desktop icons, might that have anything to do with it ? Jim Hawkins ..
