You got to be kidding. The same problem as what? In detail. What
have you tried to fix it.

If emailing, please let me know whether
or not you are posting the same letter.

Change domain to erols.com, if necessary.

Hmm. I don't know what the above listed problems are but

here is one at someone else's house, so I can't switch
back and forth to give precise info:

windows 98 crashed. Reformat, reinstall 98se
Device manager says the most current and best driver for
the sound blaster card is in.
Also, listed as there are no conflicts.

Control panel shows that it should be making sound through
accessibility (checked for sound).
control panelsound Shows the windows system sounds but
when highlighted, the preview sound button is grayed out.
Additionally, they are listed but don't seem to have
anything there.

Office is installed and the .wavs are there, but they
won't preview or play either.

all critical updates are installed.

Speakers are on, plugged in the right way, plugged into
outlet...audio plugged into motherboard. The cd player
spins and works, but no audio from either music CDs or
system sounds will play.

Finally, the only error I got was when try off the windows
cd to play a video and media player gave error that there
was no hardware.

OH...the sound icon in the system tray is not there when I
wanted to check if muted. No sound icon?

Frustrated and confused. Hope that was enough info
without being too much. Thanks...and please help.
