Delete user

I am trying to delete a user/password in Windows ME. I want it to open
straight to the desktop.I deleted the user in the control panel and rebooted.
The login screen opened during boot up. I clicked cancel. I rebooted and
still got the screen. I cannot get rid of the login screen. What do I need to
do? Thanks

Remove the password, not the user (unless you have more than one user). Also
select Windows Login as the primary login (under network settings)

At that login prompt, put in a name but no password and click OK.

Since you're getting the login screen, you probably don't need this article,
