Default Defrag causes Clock problems any advice?

Compaq II 64MB
Windows98 SE

What happens is when I defrag, the clock gets messed up and I have to reset.
What would cause it?

Thanks,

Rog

Windows maintains the clock once you have started Windows. If you are doing
memory intensive work, especially if it pushes the hardware a bit, Windows'
"ticket" can get thrown off and not accurately report the passage of time.
