Default Windows Explorer sees folders as blank!

Windows Explorer right pane does not show the contents of
any of the folders in the C: drive...including all system
folders. It does give a size on the bottom task bar!
System seems to be operating!!?
Ran Norton AntiVirus, Ad-aware...nothing!
Any idea of what setting/file might have been changed,
corrupted or deleted?
