Default bootup

when turning on pc i get an error message that says"no
XMS driver installed".PC will do nothing.Tried using the
WME boot up disk but it wont take you to the Wstartup
menu.Please help.thanks.

Default bootup

The WinMe bootup disk does not let you start Windows at all, it will only
boot into Real Mode DOS - no Windows Start Menu. Presumably it let you
continue to the A:\ prompt (or the DOS Help pages - if you let it - a good
sign g)

Instead, try booting into Safe Mode - (F8 or Ctrl key at power-on).

See how you get on and come back with result.
