Mike, whatever happened temporarily, must have been permanent.
My C:_Restore folder content has been replaced by "Nero Show Time" images.
When I click on the folder, the image comes up and an error message, saying:
Cannot play this media file (0x8004265).
This happend after I played a (possibly defect) DVD.

What I was thinking of was, to replace this nero image with the original
content, but will that do anything to my DVD player?
Should this file instead be relocated?
And would you be so kind to send me the files belonging in the _Restore
folder?

Harry.

Harry,

For what appears to be the two hundredth time what YOU choose to call a
file extension is up to YOU. That YOU have chosen to install Nero and
have allowed it to associate files with a DAT extension with Nero Show
Time is YOUR choice and has nothing to do with the operating system and
has NO effect on the operation of the system or system restore. YOU could
choose to call ADT files Music files for all I or the operating system is
concerned.

And would you be so kind to send me the files belonging in the
_Restore folder?

No. The contents is dependent on the files YOU have edited or deleted.
How many years have you been using Win Me?

I'm sorry but I have to leave it to others to provide you with support for
your problems. I've given up.

Mike:
Sorry to have bothered.
Consider it undone.
Thanks for your help, or should I say: nothing?

Harry.
