**ME update without 98 installed??**

I have a copy of ME update and '98 full copy. The ME
can't be installed without '98 being installed first.
The '98 disc is corrupt so I can't get it to install.
Someone once showed me how to put in ME and when it asks
for the product number some way the '98 number is put in
first so the ME will install without having to have '98 in
first. PLEASE someone tell me how to do this, I'm in a
bind. Thanks..............Ward

Install Win Me from the Upgrade CD and you will be asked to insert a
"qualifying product" at some point. At that point insert your Win 98CD.
The only Product ID required is that for the Win Me upgrade.
