Default Old lotus and Win98

I have an old copy of Lotus123 V2.2 that I want to run within windows 98.
If I boot up in dos mode, lotus runs, but if I boot to windows and use a dos
prompt, lotus goes directly to some search function so that calling up the
lotus menu by using the "/" key will not work. Obviously the win98
operating system cannot be running at the same time as lotus for some
reason. Any suggestions are appreciated. I can always use two computers to
extract the data I need, but a fix would make life easier.

1. Some DOS apps must be correctly installed from
their source disks, i.e. do not behave OK if simply
copied from another hard drive.
2. You ought to be able to configure Lotus 2.2 to run
in a Win98 DOS box, if necessary by setting special
AUTOEXEC or CONFIG parameters (done via the
Lotus EXE's / Properties.) Your main difficulty will
be printing to a Windows printer, soluble if Lotus can
instal one of the DM printers your Windows printer
can emulate.
