mouse stops responding

Hi everyone,
Help required : I have a wireless mouse plugged into USB
that keeps "hanging" during use, it does it at any time
and lasts for any amount of time it wants to, I have
removed the device in device manager & rebooted ,then
reinstalled the drivers, but it still keeps doing it, It
was working fine for a couple of weeks,since reinstall of
OS, & I don't know what I might have installed/downloaded
to cause this problem. Luckily I managed to get here
before it hung! I hope this is the correct group to post
this on, any help would be very much appreciated
