Black and Orange Stripes on Shutdown

Just installed Win ME on Bki810 book computer ( has
everything on board ). Sometimes when i shut down the
computer it gets out of windows normally, then when the "
your computer is safe to shut off " it normally shuts
itself off automatically, but sometimes ( maybe 1 out of
5 times ) it comes to the last screen and Black and
Orange stripes come on the screen and it doesn't turn
itself off. I have to hold the power button in for a few
seconds and then it turns it self off. I can then turn
the computer back on and it works fine. It just annoying
more than anything. Has anyone seen anything like this or
know a fix for it.
