Certificate of Authenticity & Product Key Code
Due to my puter crashng this weekend, I have had to
reinstall Windows 98 and all Miscrosoft Work Suite files. The problem is that when I try to install Word 2000 I am asked for a 25 digit product key code that is supposed to be on my certificate of authenticity. However, when I insert that number it tells me it is invalid. Does anyone know what I need to do, where I can get the number, or how I can get around this so that I can complete the installation of Windows 2000? Thanks |

Certificate of Authenticity & Product Key Code
Are you trying to install Word 2000 or Windows 2000?
Word 2000 should have come with it's own COA if you didn't get it with Office. The number on the _MS Word_ COA is the number you should be using, not the one on your Windows COA. -- Regards Steven Burn Ur I.T. Mate Group www.it-mate.co.uk Keeping it FREE! If you cannot find the product key, then you can always contact Microsoft
for help. I would have a newspaper handy to read while you are on hold. Be ready to provide them with detailed information on the cd and you may need some other information about where and when you purchased Windows 2000 or Word 2000. It just depends on whether Microsoft thinks you have a legal copy or an illegal copy of Word 2000 or Windows 2000. "Steven Burn" wrote in message ...
