slow slow!
When clicking onto a message to see what help that sender requires, It may
sometimes take a couple of minutes to download, then a message comes up stating that my NNTP server is not responding. so what is causing this problem? Terry. |

Hi Terence,
Are you using this for a server name msnews.microsoft.com in OE? I'm not seeing problems here. -- Regards, Bert Kinney [MS-MVP DTS] http://dts-l.org/ How to Configure Outlook Express for Internet News: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=171164 "Terence Lynton" wrote When clicking onto a message to see what help that sender requires, It may sometimes take a couple of minutes to download, then a message comes up stating that my NNTP server is not responding. so what is causing this problem? I have a dial-up internet access and I download messages for off-
-line use in Netscape Mail & Newsgroups. Before, I've used O.E. to access newsgroups, and it has an option to do the same. If you synchronize the newsgroups, downloading the headers and the bodies, you will be able to read the posts without needing to download each post separately. It may take a few seconds/minutes synchonizing, but will not take time opening posts. Hope this help. Andrew H.
