Laptop did not functioning and no display aswell

Hello,

I left my laptop in on position with few of the websites on display. When I
came back after few hours there was no display coming up and no keys were
working. The only way laptop started functioning was by disconnecting the
battery and then reconnecting it and then by switching on the power button.

Also battery power indicator light is showing that battery is not charged
eventhough it is fully charged. What is the reason for this problem and how
can it be solved?

Sounds as if the battery has failed. Try substituting a known-good battery
in its place.
