Unable to install USB driver
My son was just given a Mp3 player which needs to have a Windows 98 USB
driver installed. The problem is that Windows doesn't detect the driver on the install CD when running the Add Hardware wizard. What happens is that the driver setup program is installed, Windows builds a new driver information database, detects that it has found the Sunplus Multidisk disk and will search for a driver for it, but doesn't find one. I've tried the "Search for the best driver for your device" option, the "Display a list of all drivers" option, "Have Disk" and that all didn't work. Craig doesn't have a website so there are no FAQs. The player won't work with Windows if the driver isn't installed. I guess to generalize the question, how does one install a USB driver from a CD when Windows won't detect it? -- { : [|]=( DaffyDŽ If I knew where I was I'd be there now. |
