Default "view as web page" option gone from folder menu

Sorry if this is not the right group, as none of the others seemed to be
quite right for my question.

I have folders full of art, and really need the "view as web page" option
for my .bmp and .jpg files in my folders. The enitre option has misteriously
disappeeared. (It's not grayed out, the option does not even appear on the
"view" drop down menu.)

When I go to folder options, the only option that is available is "classic
style". I do have my desktop set to "view as web page" and have used deleted
cookies, temp files, done a virus scan, etc.

This happened before, and I didn't save the solution as I normally do.

Anyone know how to get this option back?

I use Windows 98 SE on a 550 P3 with 384 MB ram.

Thanks alot! You guys are great to try to help people like this!

Close all Explorer windows.

Click StartRun, type:

REGSVR32 THUMBVW.DLL and click OK.

Click StartRun, type:

REGSVR32 WEBVW.DLL and click OK.

Can't hurt to reboot, too.

THANKS BEN!

This worked, after days of searching! I really appreciate it! (This time I
saved the hint in case it happens again.)

MUCH APPRECIATION!

If you update to XP, it will be gone forever. I just can't manage my =
personal files without that view. My daughter gave me a computer with XP =
and I returned it because it lacked this feature. I looked everywhere =
for a modification. Just ranting.

It just goes to show you, one person's rant is another's rave-- it's one
of the first "features" I joyfully disable.
