Default Win98SE Usb Drivers for external drive (external drive enclosure k

Dear sirs:

At this time I'm needing urgently the help that you can give me. Some weeks
ago, my boss gave me an external drive but there's a problem 'cause I must
connect to a pc. with Win 98SE, when I make it the pc. ask the drivers for
USB storage device and the product box doesn't contain the drivers for this
OS. Then I started to search the manufacturer and found that the manufacturer
is FireWireGear, the company is QCUSA INC. co\CABLEGEAR.
I checked many websites related to this like coolgear.com,
firewire-card.com, firewiregear.net and so forth but everything was in vain
because when I was in the product page where is the drivers button for OS
(Win98SE)(more specs button, item's faq button, video button) when I make a
click on this drivers option, the thing displayed to me is a window with the
next message "THE PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND" the error number is "HTTP error 404".
The same deal is with next buttons (specs, faq's, video). I have written
mails 'till death and there's no answer; what a service!!!.

So I need to find the drivers for this device, then I give the product
details:

3.5" External drive enclosure kit
Model No.: TT-745U2F
Size: 80.0 GB

Below is the links where you can see the product:
http://www.firewiregear.net/productd...?sku=TT-745U2F
http://www.networkserial.com/compute...tid=Enclosures

I will thank if you tell me about some website where I can find the Win98SE
drivers for this device or If you can send them to me.

Best regards

I would imagine it would be one of these:

Download USB2.0 to IDE Driver CD (TT-745U2F for ISD)
http://www.triumphtech.com/Driver/OrangeCD.zip

Download USB2.0 to IDE Driver CD (TT-745U2F for ALI)
http://www.triumphtech.com/Driver/SilverCD.zip

The item you referenced is a "case for installing a hard drive" You have to provide the hard drive.
Did your boss give you a hard drive in the case?
If it has a hard drive, and the hard drive is set as a "master", is partitioned, and is formatted
with FAT32 format, then you should be able to use it if your Windows 98 has a valid USB connection.
Windows 98SE would be better at picking it up than the original 98.
I don't believe you need drivers for the device as such. You just need Windows 98 USB drivers that
should come with the operating system.

Yes but actually that model she has did come with an 80GB drive with it
just like she said, as well it will need USB2.0 drivers to run it which do
not come with any 9x OS, of which I've given the link to get them for
her specific device. Hopefully it's already partitioned, formatted
accordingly like you said, not to mention that her old bios supports it.

Rick:

First of all, I want to thank you (and Richard too) for your answers; in
this moment I just saw your post and the links you wrote.
I have to tell that I had tried to connect the external drive and use the
Win98SE usb drivers but it didn't work 'cause the same OS asked the USB 2.0
drivers for the device.
And on the other hand, Sorry I did forget to mention that the ext. drive is
partitioned, formatted and the pc. bios supports it.
I need to clear something about the downloads, you gave two links where I
can get the drivers but I would like to know the meaning of ISD and ALI
(what's the differences); one is for TT-745U2F FOR ISD and the other is
TT-745U2F for ALI

Again, I give you the thanks for the help provided; it's worthy.

You would preinstall the drivers, and so when you plugged in the external
drive after that then it would automatically find it. Otherwise, when it
asks for the drivers you would point the prompts to the folder you have the
drivers in to pick them up.

Ah, well I would assume it means it's for what Chipset your MotherBoard has
on it. Besides the ISD & ALI - I forgot to mention there is also a link
for AT2 as well.

Here are the 2 webpages I got the drivers info from that I gave you, which
I simply searched out your given info to find them:
http://triumphtech.com/Support.htm
&
http://www.sunshinestor.com/support.html
