Using ME, how do I change the Lof Off name in the start menu (just above the
line Shut Down)Thanks

It boots straight up to desktop. You may say so that I try to change the
login name as my brother is no longer using this pc

Default To change the Log Off name

Use the Logoff option - then create a new user by typing whatever name you
want in the logon form - leave the password blank, and you shouldn't need to
log on again, and it should autologon to your new username.

When you click on the Start button, do you get an option to Log off? - if
so, then use it

Just reformatted instead as I was having a lot of problem installing the
drivers. So, now when I boot up, there is this loyg-in dialog which I now do
not want this dialog page to appear. I know how to do it in win87 but it does
not apper to have the password icon etc Many thanks
