Default Auto start programs

I have WinPoet on my laptop for dial-up. When I start my laptop it runs
automatically and then is in my system tray but it is not in my start up
folder. I now use a USB wireless connection to access the internet, but I
don't want to remove the WinPoET so I can use dial up if my DSL goes down.
How can I stop this from running automatically without removing the program
or changing the startup in msconfig which then wants to run a selective
startup each time.

WinPoET is designed for broadband connections - not dialup!

Thanks for the insite. I guess that I can just remove the program. Just for
future info, is there a way to stop this from running automatically without
removing the program or changing the startup in msconfig which then wants to
run a selective startup each time.

I've never used WinPoET - try reading the Help files!

Using MSCOINFIG is an option - you need to put a checkmark in the 'DO not
show....' box on the first time it reboots - you'll not see the popup again
unless you change something else in the startup axis

That sounds like a great idea. I think I'll try that before I just delete the
whole program.
Thanks!
