What would you suggest I have as Min & Max settings for V-Cache?
I have PII350MZ with 64MB ram. Thanks, Dan |

In my opinion, you should not make any changes to VCache settings unless you
have more then 512MB of memory in your computer system. "Rubyjack" wrote in message ... What would you suggest I have as Min & Max settings for V-Cache? I have PII350MZ with 64MB ram. Thanks, Dan |

Second that opinion. And that's *more_than* 512MB of RAM.

V-Cache settings
Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned my current VCache settings:
MinFileCache=4096 MaxFileCache=20480 chunksize=512 ----- Original Message ----- From: "USR" Newsgroups: microsoft.public.win98.performance Sent: Wednesday, August 30, 2006 5:45 PM Subject: V-Cache settings In my opinion, you should not make any changes to VCache settings unless you have more then 512MB of memory in your computer system. V-Cache settings
Doesn't change the answer. Unless you have *more_than* 512MB of RAM, you
should leave VCACHE alone. -- Gary S. Terhune MS-MVP Shell/User "Rubyjack" wrote in message ... Thanks for the reply. Get rid of all three of those settings. You're pretty much killing vcache
for no gain in performance. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] * PLEASE post all messages and replies in the newsgroups * for the benefit of all.
