Default Can't create a new folder

wtf? It seems that my new folder option has taken a trip.
Normally I can right click anywhere.....desktop,
folder....wherever, click on new, then folder and tadaaaaa!
I name it. Well now I right click and the "NEW" is no
longer among us :-(

Any clue?

Thanx

Beau

That is the usual reason for the loss of the ability to create a new
folder and unfortunately you will probably have lost far more than just
that function. For example I suspect you will find that in Explorer you
are now no longer able to select Thumbnail view. To remedy this and other
problems caused by the nVidia installer (but not the drivers themselves)
you need more than the patch you have downloaded from the Aumha site. If
you wish to pursue this please post back.

Of course what???

Can you select thumbnail view in Explorer? Can you still share a folder
(you may not however require this ability)? If not then please say so and
I will post the full patch required to fix the damage done by the nVidia
installer.

Okay, no I can't view Thumbnails in My Pictures anymore
and I'm not sure what the sharing folders thiung means so
I probably don't need it. Is that for networking? Can you
explain please?

Beau,

Sharing folders is when working with networked PCs. One can share both
drives and specific folders with other users. What the nVidia install did
is remove the ability to share a specific folder although the ability to
share a drive will still be present. Since you don't network your PC you
won't have noticed the loss.

As you are using Microsoft's web interface to these newsgroups rather than
a news reader you won't be able to "see" an attachment if I post it here
so please e-mail me (address below) and I will send you by return a zip
file containing a registry file (file with a REG extension). Extract the
reg file from the zip, then right click and select Merge to add its
contents to the registry. All this will do is add back any missing
entries and won't delete or change anything else. Once you have merged
the reg file you can throw both it and the zip file away.

Regards,
