IBM Thinkpad 760E Win98 Sound Driver

Hi,
I was recently given an IBM Thinkpad 760E laptop,
made around 1999.

As I have done before with other old laptops, I formatted the
HDD and installed Win98se. I didn't have trouble locating the
display driver on the web, but never expected to have so much trouble
finding the Win98 sound driver. In desperation, I downloaded the Win2000
sound driver from http://members.driverguide.com but that didn't "work".

I searched countless sites that provide driver downloads, but still
I can't find it.

Does anyone know a source for Win98 sound driver for this model?

Have you tried generic soundblaster (Pro?)?
On old computers that worked quite often.
