Default Exclamtion point in PnP BIOS

I have a yellow splat with an exclamation point in Device Manager/System
Devices/System Board Extension for PnP BIOS.
I have the most current BIOS version installed. I am using Win 98SE, on a
Gateway 233 MHz with a 40GB drive and 320MB RAM. If I boot in the Safe Mode
this exclamation point does not appear. Only when all the drivers are
loaded. The Win98 sound also stutters during boot up. It's got be one of the
drivers causing my problem. How do I go about finding which driver in
causing the problem, and the fix for it. Thanks
