Hello, I saw your post in that other thread. Was giving my appreciation to
PCR for his input on my question. Didn't want anymore posts about you all
being unappreciated on my end. Concerning my address---does the whole thing
have to be fake. Not sure Verizon will go for that. I don't know what to
do at this point. Advice?

Not sure I should answer that one!

Don't worry, I send *lots* of people to that article, eg. I wrote both

of
those so I could stop having to write various versions of the same things
twenty times a day. While the suggestions in the Security article are

still
current, other good apps have made it to "market" that I haven't included.
Jim's pages cover those real well.

The whole thing has to be fake. Understand, this only works if you aren't
logging on to Verizon's own news server. Did you change the name of the
server to msnews.microsoft.com?

Yes. Otherwise, you may be directing spam to an innocent party.

Not sure Verizon will go for that.

Verizon has NO say in the matter.
If you are reluctant to believe that,
call Verizon Customer Service and ask them point blank.

I don't know what to do at this point. Advice?

Follow the detailed instructions that I gave you earlier.
Just be sure that you do NOT deviate from those instructions.
Do NOT, for example, change the email address in your email account.

The Newsgroup account change will not affect
your regular email account in any way, shape, manner or form.

Just be sure that you do NOT change the email address
in your email account.

Hello! Verizon is the default news server: connection, LAN; MSNews.
Microsoft is a news server: connection, any available. Are you saying select
MSNews server is the default news server? Then I sign in at the new default
news server and make the change? Do I need a password or something?

Change the ".com" part to something else, like ".indeed" or ".yessiree" or
anything else just as nonsensical. I can easily imagine that there is a real
domain out there called nicepost.com.

(I see everything is under control regarding your E-Mail address.)

Thanks or Good Luck,

Naturally, you will not sue,
