Default using an existing hard disk for new machine

Hi,
My PC's on/off switch has broken off from the motherboard, so I am
buying another base unit. How do I go about using my existing hard
disk and putting it into the new PC. Is there a way I can load up any
drivers from my XP CD as windows XP loads up ( if it wants them)? Or
will it take the used hard disk with no problem,

I do not really want to wipe and re-install all my software.
thanks
pete.

Swapping out the motheboard will require a boot from the XP CD and a Repair
install.
