formatting newsgroups
How do I format my newsgroups on my Win98 computer so it doesn't show
replies as seperate from the original message. On my Winxp computer, it shows the original post and I can read the replies by clicking on the little plus sign in the box. It seems that on my Win98 computer, all the posts start with "" and then the title of the orignal post. Thanx, Patty |

What newsgroup reader are you using? In OE, it's View / Current View /
Group messages by conversation. Your newsreader should have a similar option. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Patty" wrote in message ... Yes, I am using OE6 but how did you get all that information that I'm in the
NY/NJ area using Verizon. Is is something only you MVP's can see? "David H. Lipman" wrote in message ... Yep, Patty is on Verizon in the NY/NJ area of the USA and is using OE6. Right clicking on your message and check the properties. You'll see this: X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.2180 and this: NNTP-Posting-Host: pool-68-160-112-185.nwrk.east.verizon.net 68.160.112.185 Don't worry about it. |

There is quite a bit of interesting information that can be deduced from the
header of your posting. However, this information is not always available, and should never be used as a substitute for a comprehensive description of your operating environment and applications. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Patty" wrote in message ...
