Default MSDOS icon doesnt work anymore

I have always clicked on my msdos icon on the desktop to open a dos box to run
list and sd, etc. It stopped working! I deleted the icon, created a new one
(select command.com in c:\), Still doesnt work. ANyone know why? How to get it
back??

Try C:\windows\command.com

Thanks for the reply Bill. I had tried that....
Here's a clue... when I click on msdos in the start menu, I get a bos that says
'msdosprompt.pif has been moved or is inaccessible'
