Default Machine Debug Manager

Hi:

Spybot found a malware dialer on my PC , and its mode of "fixing" this was
to remove the following Registry Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunServices\Mac
hine Debug Manager

I allowed it to fix this. It seems spybot removed this key. I no longer see
the Machine Debug Manager in the MSConfig Startup items.

I don't do any kind of programming. So I don't really know what "Debug
Manager" does nor if I have any need for it..

Can someone clarify this issue for me?

Is it safe to have this registry item removed ?

Thanks in advance:

-Eli

If you don't 'do' programming, you really don't need MDM - which is usually
removed from any PC I handle as being too buggy itself!
Leave it alone - you can always put it back later if you discover a need.
