I have 2 "Favorites" folders Listed. One in Windows folder, the other is in "MY Documents."
The one in 'my documents' is much more up to date. Can I delete the Favorites folder in Windows?

What is it there for anyway if it is duplicated with a more up to date listing in My Documents?

The original location for the Favorites folder for a single-user 9x system is
C:\Windows\Favorites. If it's a multi-user system, it's
C:\Windows\Profiles\{Username}\Favorites. (In Win2000 and XP they're in entirely
different locations.)

A Favorites folder inside C:\My Documents\ is *not* a normal location. However,
things can happen, and if what shows in your Internet Explorer Favorites menu is
the same as what is in the "C:\My Documents\Favorites" folder, then the other
one can be safely deleted. But make sure you're looking at C:\My Documents in
Windows Explorer, not some other rendition of My Documents. Windows plays a lot
of games with My Documents and other folders, where what you see is not
necessarily what is really there.
