Cannot change display
Hi, I have an ATI graphics card/adapter/drivers installed. After a reinstall
I cannot install the display properly. Display will not change to ATI and 256 colors. I have tried to reinstall the drivers on numerous ocassions. The display always says VGA and 16 colors. Now I found out the system is set up for TWO MONITORS. Possibly, as I see it, the ATI adaptor is only on the Monitor 2, not 1 and I cannot get rid of one of the monitors so as to only install the ATI on one monitor that I am using. The upshot is that I cannot use any graphics as they are all distorted due to wrong resolution and colors due to using the wrong adaptor and drivers. I would like to know what to do. Even these pages are often hard to read on my monitor and this group so if you are willing to send a copy of the reply to that might help me, although I will keep trying to read this forum. |
