printing problems
Hi, to all
I have a windows 98 network with 4 computers,an ethernet switch, a router and a DSL modem. I have some strange problem: Computer 1 When i try to print from a computer to a local printer, it appears like printing, but nothing came up, if i go to the printers folder, i don´t see any printer, even that i have 2 network printers and 2 local printers installed. Computer 2 When i try to print from a computer to a local printer, it appears like printing, but nothing came up, if i go to the printers folder, the printers folder doesn´t show up, and then the computer stop responding, Solution: If i restart the computer 1 and 2 the problem continue, i can´t print, so i shut down the computers and then turn off the switch, turn on again the computers and the switch, and then, printing from both computers work fine. This behavior appear randomly on the week, only when i start to work; after i turn off and restart everything, i don´t have any printing problem. I replaced the switch, load the spool32.exe program, check and eliminate spyware, checked for viruses, use scandisk, defrag. Can some one have anything about this isue? I really will apreciate any help. Thank´s. |
