WE live in Canada, NOT America. OK? No wonder those across the pond get

Erm, in which continent is Canada located? No one in Europe says their
country is "Europe" but we are "Europeans" and you are an American, North
American and a Canadian. The fact that the USA calls itself "America" fits
right in with their jingoist and egoistic personality and is a misnomer.

We are CANADIAN.....full stop....not North American. That is a very big
sore point with any Canadian. Particularly in the last 20 years. I had to
often explain that to people in your adopted country and as soon as they
heard the word "Canada", their attitude did a 180!!

Again, in which continent is Canada located? The fact that you don't
call yourselves "Americans" or "North Americans" is commendable but
please look at an atlas. All British, French, Spanish, etc. are also
Europeans and you are an American.

Yes, I'm 23 and better looking than...(insert name of your favorite
teenage heartthrob here).

Do you remember
how he hated life insurance?? Well, one of the ditzbrain life insurance
agents where I worked called him. I still remember hearing him yelling at
ME.....damn, I didn't call him. (G) He sure tore a strip off the salesman
tho. He was one of a kind, that man. And oddly enough, a very kind man.

He was well liked and respected despite his cranky old fart façade. He
was always concerned with money! Especially how much others had!

With that logic then people in the Middle East should be called Asians?

Default USA and Canada

It is true that it is quite old; but I poise these questions and
statements.
The much maligned USA although it is NOT perfect, it is one of the
better systems out there and their citizens enjoy a level of freedom
that most of the world can only wish for.
Now for the questions:
What shape would the rest of the world be without the USA? If you were
to take any *one* other country off the face of the globe over night
the world would continue much the same as what it is now. However
should the USA be gone tomorrow morning, how many of you think the
world would continue on much the same as what it is now?
Now for another statement:
I dare say that should the USA be gone tomorrow morning the world
would find its' self in quite a dire predicament. The only way I could
see the world not self destructing should the USA disappear would be
for Canada, England and yes Australia to band together to take up the
slack; because although even combined they don't wield not even half
the military might of the USA, those three countries DO believe in
freedom of democracy and of the individual, England for the rule of
law, Canada for stiff necked sticking to what is right and Australia
for the individual rights of everyone.
Much of the world sits around and knocks the USA; but I just don't
think they understand the consequences should the USA disappear. If
the USA were more like Russia or even pre-WWII Germany we would rule
the world instead of trying to give the countries of the world a chance
at self determination.
Just sit back and HONESTLY ask your self if you would want to live
in a world without the USA? and remember I said honestly without any
nationalistic pride or what ever. Just think what shape the rest of
the world would be in had the USA never been founded?
