Default Nero Burning Rom [ Hi, Noel & MikeM!]

If you've installed IE6 (SP1), you do *not* want to reinstall WinME without
first removing IE6 SP1!

Hi

Just an idea if not I will do what you told me before.
I was thinking of recovering my system again witch worked
great before and fixed all of my errors. The way I did it
was recovery without losing any programs or files not the
normal recovery that puts your computer back as when you
first bought it. Would this solve the problem recovery
without losing any programs or files.

Win ME

Please Help!!

I agree. The more you read about packet stuff, the less endeared
with it you become.

And what is *especially* bad and very problematic is when you have more
than packet writing program installed (like InCD and EZCD's packet
software).

I simply back up what I want to DVD-Rs (and/or CDs), and that way I am
certain I won't have any problems - now or in the

future. I write all of
them once (DAO mode only).

Yes, and with very much less likeliehood of producing coasters, cd
packet writing software is problematic at best, and may not produce a
cd that can be read by any other pc than the one that wrote it, and
as you have discovered cause other app errors

Hi

Would unistalling it solve the problem and I will be able
to write cd's using Nero Burning Rom?

Leigh.

I'd just recommend uninstalling InCD, and staying away from the
packet stuff.

Hi

The message says incd is accessing one or more recorders
and then the screen turns blue and I have to turn it off
and on again because everything is unstable. What and
where is the INCD because the help on Nero can't find
anything and the Pc's help can't either. Could you please
tell me where it is so I can change it.

InCD is the 'packet burner' of Nero. You can find it in the
system tray as a little green CD, with a big red arrow on it.
Type Ctrl-Alt-Delete, find InCD, and choose 'Close task'. Maybe
you'll have to do this twice. To permanently disable it, you
have to use msconfig tab startup (start-run- msconfig).
Remove the check before InCD and reboot.

Look here for what's currently the 'preferred' method for reinstalling ME
over itself.
