Default determing startup mode from within AUTOEXEC.BAT

Is it possible to check while booting in AUTOEXEC.BAT via DOS commandline
commands, whether Windows98 got booted "normally" or "commandline only" (by
pressing F8), so I can load mouse-drivers and stuff dependent of if I'm in
DOS-mode or booting up Windows?!

i.e.:

IF EXIST %NORMALBOOT% GOTO NORMAL

LOAD DOS NATIVE DRIVERS ...

:NORMAL

MODE COM ... stuff even Windows uses

You can run Help.com, that is in \tools\oldmsdos folder of installation
CDROM, and read about multiconfiguration Config.sys and Autoexec.bat

Assuming you create [WIND] and [CMD] items -- here is the line to enter
Command Prompt Only, that has to be in [CMD] section of config.sys:

DOS=SINGLE

In Autoexec.bat the branching must have the structure then:

======= abstract from Autoexec.bat is below this line =======
@echo off
leading common codes are here
goto %CONFIG%

:WIND
codes for Windows booting
goto END
:CMD
codes for Command Prompt booting
goto END
:END
trailing common codes are here

======= abstract from Autoexec.bat is above this line =======
