Default sharing folders

I am transferring stuff from a Win98SE machine to
an XP machine over an ethernet network.
Network is set up okay and file/folder sharing is
set up ok.

How can I mark a folder (AND its subfolders) for
sharing? At the moment I can only see how to do
that one folder at a time, by right click the
folder, and in Properties using the sharing tab -
one folder at a time.
I have several data folders with a lot of
subfolders in them and I would like to be able to
mark them all as shared in order to do the
transfer easily.
Is this possible in Win98SE or do I have to do it
one folder at a time?

Many thanks.

No need to mark each subfolder. You just need to mark the parent folder as
Shared....its sub-folders will be shared also, although they won't show the little
hand on the folder icon in explorer on the host machine. Share the parent (top)
folder, and when you open that folder over the network, you will see its subfolders
are also shared and available.

Thank you. That's one of those "doh!" moments I
suppose. Done that and got the required result.
Thanks again.

Hey, the first time I started setting up sharing on a Win9x network, I wondered the
same thing.....it took me a few to figure out I didn't have to individually share
each sub-folder. :-)
