Default Reformatting using Windows Me

I was wondering how to reformat my hard drive with
Windows Me already installed?

You cannot format the drive containing the operating system when still using
that system. You can only do this from a DOS prompt after booting from a
floppy.

For details of how to fdisk and format see the Microsoft Knowledge Base
article 255867 - "How to Use the Fdisk Tool and the Format Tool to Partition
or Repartition a Hard Disk" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=255867) as
well as the file CLEANHD.TXT which is in the Win 9x folder on the Win Me CD.

I am prompted however to ask why do you wish to do this? What problems are
you having that make you feel the best solution is to clean install your
operating system.

I was wondering why you would possibly want to do that?
