Default Sloooow App Start

I am running WinXP Home and lately, it is taking about 45 seconds for Word
to start.
Other Office apps start fine, and I did a repair, which didn't help.
I have current virus protection and have run the latest copies of Ad-Aware
and Spybot.
I've done chkdsk and cleaned out all old garbage.
So far, no luck.
Does anyone have a clue as to why only Word is so sluggish???

Thanks,
-------
Dave

Dave, this is a Win98 group....you need to ask these questions in a WinXP, or MS
Office or Word, group.

As Glee said, you can probably get a better answer on another newsgroup.
However, on the Lan at work have noticed some have very slow opening time
for Word 2K. Others, that may actually be slower PCs, instantly open Word
2K. All are configured the same.
