Error message: "Resource Conflict PCI"
pci conflict, two or more cards are trying to access the same memory or
interrupts, used to occur really often before plug n play, choose 2 cards, and swap them in the slots, often (before plug n play) there were restrictions on what interrupts were available to slots and what each card was able to use, so that the combination of slot and card meant 2 cards were trying to use the same interrupt , swapping the cards made different combinations of interrupt available to each and the conflict resolved itself. You one smart cookie, Bob. The conflict was the presence of a NIC from before. Even when I had removed the wireless card, the diagnostics was unhappy. Once I removed the NIC, the problem went away. Just for fun, I put each one in alternately and of course, there was no problem. Thanks!! |
