Default Error message: "Resource Conflict PCI"

WIN 98SE; Inserted new wireless card. On boot, I got two
beeps and the following:
"Error Resource Conflict PCI
Bus: 00, Device 11, Function: 00
Bus: 00, Device 11, Function: 01
Bus: 00, Device 11, Function: 02
ESC to resume Del to Setup"

ESC gets me to: "Resource error, must reboot computer"
Del gets me to Setup where everything looks OK

I did uninstall the card w/o any effect.
Anyone have any ideas?

pci conflict, two or more cards are trying to access the same memory or
interrupts, used to occur really often before plug n play, choose 2 cards, and
swap them in the slots, often (before plug n play) there were restrictions on
what interrupts were available to slots and what each card was able to use, so
that the combination of slot and card meant 2 cards were trying to use the
same interrupt , swapping the cards made different combinations of interrupt
available to each and the conflict resolved itself.

Not promising anything, but ...

.
You one smart cookie, Bob. The conflict was the presence

of a NIC from before. Even when I had removed the wireless
card, the diagnostics was unhappy. Once I removed the NIC,
the problem went away. Just for fun, I put each one in
alternately and of course, there was no problem. Thanks!!
