Default P2p networking has caused an error with Kernel32.dll

I was trying to install the newest version of Kazaa and I
keep getting this error. see subject Kazaa says to
install P2P, but when I do that it says log on as the
adminstrator and I've never set my system up for an
administrator logon......

anyway..I was just wondering if anyone else has heard or
seen this error. It might be that I loaded an XP p2p
application onto my system somehow.....although, I'm not
sure that it's possible....anyway.any help would be
greatly appreciated.

If you were trying to download the regular KaZaa.....not KaZaa Lite, then
delete it immediately. It is full of spyware and viruses!!!!!

In fact, I would remove it and then do a system restore and run all the
appropriate spyware and antivirus proggies there are.......it is the
absolute WORST program out there!!

If you are looking for mp3's, then try WinMX.....no spyware, period. And in
3 or 4 years, I have never downloaded a virus. I scan all my songs after
downloading (and before playing them).

I'm wondering if there's a difference between KaZaa Lite
and KaZaa Plus. My kids have KaZaa Plus on our computer.
Thanks for any advice & opinions.

Hi Vickie.....

I did a quick search for Kazaa Plus and it appears to be a $30 US version of
the original Kazaa one. I saw some offers allowing it to be downloaded
free.....did your kids pay for this one?

My *personal* advice is to go to WinMX or Kazaa Lite which is safer. The
original Kazaa by Sharman (who offer this Plus version) was full of
spyware....

Try WinMX instead......it is free and the one I use......along with Limewire
as well.

www.oldversion.com did have Kazaa Lite on there, but due to threats of a
lawsuit I believe, it has been removed......but it is an excellent site to
get older versions of a lot of programs.

Cheers.....Heather
