Default System Properties Problem

The Device Manager tab shows that the System board
extension for ACPI BIOS for the System Devices has a
conflict. It is a Hardware Resource Conflict, number 15.
The instructions say follow the Troubleshooter Wizard for
a Hardware Conflict. The Wizard says not to use it
because there is No Conflict. That is on the Resources
Tab.

On its Resources tab in Device Manager, does it show any memory addresses and/or
device names in the Conflicting Device List?

Is ACPI and/or APM enabled in the BIOS?

Try this =
Boot into Safe Mode:
-Start the computer and hold down the CTRL key till the Windows 98 Startup menu
(boot menu) appears.
-Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" and press Enter.

In Safe Mode, open Device Manager, expand the "Other" devices category if it exists,
and remove all items from that category.
Expand the "System Devices" category, and remove all instances of the System board
extension for ACPI BIOS.
Click Ok to close Device Manager, and restart Windows in normal mode.
