Defrag keeps restarting
New 80gig HD. 98SE
Tried Ctr Alt Del to shut all programs down, no difference. Tried Norton Speed Disk & Norton Optimization Wizard; they keep restarting. This hard drive has 32k clusters, total allocation units 2,442,537. I read an article by Ron Martell that if you're over 2,100,000 units Scandisk or Defrag won't run. Is that information still valid? I have Partition Magic and think I should split that HD into 2 partitions.
