Default can't see start button, colors are set all the same help!

my daughter played with my win98 computer when i wasn't
looking. i think she made the colors all the same so
when i try to load something on desk top i just see
pink. she said she also did something with the size so i
can't see start button or task bar at bottom, although
when windows first loads i can see icons in regular
size. i can still access the computer files by my
network but otherwise computer is useless. is there
anyway to get to display through command prompt or
something?

Can't you get into Display by right clicking the Desktop and selecting
Properties?
Even if you can't see the Start button, you should still be able to
use it with Winkey.
You can use Winkey+R to bring up the Run command box and type in the
command below:

control desk.cpl

thanks for trying but i can't see anything but the icons
i think partly because of the colors being messed up and
partly because the fonts or windows are so big when they
open you can't see anykind of input area. same when i
right click on desktop, i can kind of see window and can
click on properties but all i get is a big greenish mess
with no icons or input box. is there anything else you
can think of?

Unless anyone has a better idea, I suggest you do exactly the same on
the bad PC as you would on a good one. You should be able to follow
the steps as if you were blind.
