Default processes in task manager

How can I remove unnecessary items that load in task manager on startup? I
am trying to free up system resources so my msn will work correctly.

First consult he
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup...artup_full.htm
Then match this against what you see in msconfig/startup and uncheck
anything undesired. You may also want to look at AdAware and Spybot Search
and Destroy, as well as doing a complete virus check with an online scanner
like TM's Housecall in addition to your own.
