Installing D-link wireless network card
I am having difficulty getting my D-link DWI-520 wireless
PCI card installed and communicating on a WIN ME computer. The device manager says that the card is installed and working properly. However, when I do winicfg to check on network communications devices, the card does not appear. When I run the card's utility program, I can see the network with a strong signal but can not communicate with it. For some reason, the card can not get an IP address from the router for communication. The router is working properly and will allow access to the internet when connected directly to it. There seems to be some problem with setting ME to comunicate with the network through the card. Help!! |
