.. . . and you're considering someday switching to XP -- should I say the
horror -- : LOL "Bill in Co." wrote in message ... LOL!!! They said "resistance is futile", but they were wrong! As for me, I'm QUITE CONTENT with IE 5.5 SP2. With support as in the case of updates already becoming a rare thing from Microsoft on 98SE, I would have the latest version of IE. You may want to consider Mozilla Firefox too since it does not have Active X vulnerabilities of IE but you still must be sure to keep IE up to date. It's ever my cute way to ask a really basic (i.e. dumb) question, but I'm just curious : If I never use IE (or OE, for that matter - switched to Moz & T'bird last year - so no reason ever to change back), why should I need to keep IE up to date? -- Regards Nigel Stapley www.judgemental.plus.com reply-to will bounce |

Yeah, but when you're crossing busy streets, you are able to see the risks and
dodge them (else you wouldn't be here.) The problem with Windows Security vulnerabilities is that you can't see what's about to hit you until it already has. -- Gary S. But wasn't there a program someone wrote that supposedly does remove IE from the system?
