Default belkin not get any ssid ?

belkin wifi f5d6001 recognised in device manager

In the Belkin Wireless card manager screen configuration is set to
derfault and any ssid

It scans through the channels but no ssid ever shows up

I can get ssid from here from the city of Boulder on a old Compac
notebook running xp... and its fast 5.5 so I know the wifi signal
works with a note book I bought the card to do the same for the
desktop.

In site survey window recan does not get any ssid so my problem is I'm
not picking up any ssid.

Is there a trouble shooting method for this?

thanks

Greg

Default Belkin connected no ssid no ie5

Internet Options Connections tab in the Dialup section select the "Never
dial a connection" radio button. Whether you get connected may depend more
on your network settings.

I do not know about the hardware side but as far as software goes --- Windows
Update needs IE 6 === latest version and I highly suggest the Windows
Security cd which will update you to B from A version and finally use 98
Second Edition not Special Edition as my dad said by accident earlier because
98 SE has much better usb support.
