Default Where is Kernel32.dll in ME CD?

I was told by a debugger that my kernel32.dll is damaged
so need to reload it. I know how to extract from cab
files but I could NOT find kernel32.dll anywhere in my ME
CD! So, where is it? All I need to do is to boot off of
diskette and copy that file over.

Does your WindowsMe boot up at all? If it does complete the bootup
process and you can use the Start menu then there is at least a 99 and
44/100% probability that kernel32.dll is intact and functioning, even
if you are experiencing error messages that mention kernel32.dll.

Post a description of your problem, including the text of any error
messages, back here and we will see what we can do to help you to
solve the problem.

Note: If you are receiving error messages in the format "something
has caused an error in kernel32.dll" then press Alt+D while that error
message is still on the screen to bring up the detailed error message.
Copy the first part of the detailed error message, up to the word
Registers:, and include that in your reply back to this newsgroup.

Good luck
