Explorer

When I boot up PC & Windows 98se loads the following
message appears, "Explorer. This program has performed an
illegal operation & will be shut down. If the problem
persists, contact the program vendor. Explorer caused an
invalid page fault in module unknown at 0000:07c7fc6e.
Registers..." this is followed by various text.
This is followed by another message "An error has occurred
in Internet Explorer. Internet explorer will now close.If
you continue to experience problems, please restart your
computer." (Internet explorer works ok)
I cannot use My computer or windows explorer (receive the
same error)unless I boot up in Safe Mode.
I have performed a clean reboot & reinstalled Windows 98
with no success. Any ideas?

I too am having the same problem, every time I get on I.E., it closes and I have to get on again. Do you also have the problem that it will freeze up while you are on and you have to close it?

It may be time to upgrade to Windows XP. It has its
share of problems, but they are way further and fewer in
between than Windows 98's problems!
