OE 5.5 is hard coded to open urls in IE, if you upgrade to OE 6 you will not
have that problem.

Hello,

I have win98se and I installed and configured K-Meleon as my default
browser. It automatically opens .html files from my hd. However, when
I click on a url in my newsreader or mail program, IE launches. Typing
a url in the run box also produces an IE window. I want to use K-
Meleon for these tasks. What do I need to do?

Try writing to K-Meloeon to see why their program doesn't accept your input?

It wasn't a kmeleon issue. It was a Windows/IE issue. It's now fixed.
